Sunday Carousel (previous name, Bit the Medusa) is chiptune (8 bit) music from Jakarta and Bandung, Indonesia. They decided to make chip tune music not to be ‘minor’ but universal. Their influence and concept are adventure game and happy tune. Their happy song and bubbly pop chiptune music has made Sunday Carousel one of the great chiptune artist in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore! They combine the visual and audio in live performance. Paris was starring in prank show I Get That A Lot, where celebrities try out everyday and ordinary working environments.

When they are recognised, they have to deny who they really are and try and convince the customers they only look like a celebrity by saying,

"I get that a lot."

As she attends to their needs, she plays the part of a wannabe DJ who is looking for a good stage name and asks people's opinions as they come to the till to pay.

The first episode of the CBS show aired on April Fools' Day last year, and featured a number of other celebrities assuming working class jobs.

Other celebs have done it too!

Rapper Ice-T worked in a shoe shop, actress Jessica Simpson worked as a computer technician and supermodel Heidi Klum waited on shocked diners at Joe's Pizza parlour in New York City.

"I got to be the pizza girl. I got to be someone I am normally not. I was quite rude to people. I would bite their pizza and give it to them. I would drop the dough on the floor, pick it up and use it."

In last night's episode, as well as Paris, rapper Snoop Dogg played the part of a car park attendant while KISS rocker Gene Simmons gave readings as a psychic guru.
The 60-year old took on the role of an employee at the 'Mystic Journey Bookstore' in Venice, California and pretended to read visitors’ minds, meditate and look into a crystal ball.

Barenaked Ladies Announce New Album!

Acclaimed multi-platinum pop-rock group the Barenaked Ladies and their label Raisin' Records have signed an exclusive worldwide deal with EMI Music Label Services unit and are gearing up for the March 30th release of their 11th studio album, All In Good Time. The band and longtime producer Michael Phillip Wojewoda began recording the album last spring at Canterbury Studios and Jimmy C's in Toronto and recently finished mixing with Bob Clearmountain (Bruce Springsteen, Rolling Stones, David Bowie).

Guitarist/vocalist Ed Robertson:

"This is a really important record for us and we're really proud of it. We're redefining who we are, and how we communicate as a band, and as friends. The album has an emotional rawness to it that we may have shied away from in the past. I think we pushed ourselves to heavier places, and also allowed for some really spacious moments. We can't wait to play these songs live."

The first single from All In Good Time, "You Run Away," impacts radio in January. The band (Robertson, bassist/vocalist Jim Creeggan, keyboardist/guitarist/vocalist Kevin Hearn and drummer/vocalist Tyler Stewart) gave fans a sneak preview of the track during their recent string of live dates in the US.

Case 39 [REVIEW]

Case 39, an American/Canadian psychological horror is directed by Christian Alvart (Antibodies, Pandorum) and also stars Academy award winner Renée Zellweger (Bridget Jones Diary, Cold Mountain) and Canadian actress Jodelle Ferland (Silent Hill, Kingdom Hospital). The movie was shot in Vancouver in late 2006, and had fumbles about the release date which was pushed to New Year’s day, January 1st 2010. The film is rated R for disturbing images (not really!) of terror and violence. Beware!

WARNING: May contain spoiler.

The movie revolves around a middle aged Emily Jenkins played by Zellweger, whose occupation as a social worker requires her to sort cases dealing with mistreated and abused children in a family. From the very start of the movie, it is revealed that she has got her hands full since she already has 38 cases. Jenkins thinks she has experienced and knows every know-how about child care until she is met with her latest case, case 39. A mysterious case involving a troubled 10 year-old girl named Lilith Sullivan played by Jodelle Ferland. Everything seems as it is in the beginning of the movie, psychotic parents trying to murder their own child for being a nuisance, and social worker is there to save the innocent and put the ‘bad’ parents in psychological care/prison. Jenkins managed to save the little girl and prove the parent’s guilt despite the parent’s cover up attempts at the beginning. Therefore, with lots of kind intentions and good will, Jenkins decided to rescue her from child care centre and adopt Lily for her own until the right foster family comes along. This is the part when she slowly and gruesomely finds out that Lily isn’t all that innocent as she might have thought. Slowly, her colleagues and case victims became slaves to an invisible psychological mind force that plays with one’s deepest fears. Jenkins started to have hallucinations and finally approached Lily’s parents to ask for help. The beans were spilled and the only way to get rid of her is to kill her.

The most prominent aspect in this movie is of course the fright factor (and a teaspoon of psychological elements), but to say the least, there were many disappointing and pathetic attempts at scare tactics in the movie that involves loud sudden noises and head popping in to check on the character, for example people knocking on doors or windows after a long hauled silence to build up the tension, which is quite obvious if dragged too long. Besides the low fright factor scale, the computer graphics generated are poorly executed and see-through-able. Such in a scene (SPOILER ALERT!) where the supporting actor, Douglas J Ames, played by Bradley Cooper (Hangover) is ferociously attacked by his deepest fear that is wasp, seen to be produced from his ears, nose, mouth and even eyes which led him to twist his own neck out of fear, and it is also soon revealed that there was never any wasps involved (not one of the most original killing in film history). Other attempts of scaring the audience was when a burnt out Lily Sullivan’s mother was chasing Jenkins down the street in a 21st century zombie-like running down her prey accompanied with beastly growling sound effects, only to find out there was never a zombie-like mum chasing after terrified Jenkins. Which would lead me to another aspect of the movie. The acting.

I’m quite sorry to say, but it was a disappointing effort from both actresses. Jodelle seemed too robotic in this film, perhaps the characteristics of ‘Innocence’ and ‘Frightful’ is far too much for her to comprehend, ending up frying her acting chip. I do realize that most the films she’s acted in has her portraying a horror and demon-like child such as Silent Hill and heavy gothic make-up in Kingdom Hospital, but her performance in those film and series far outdo this film. In this film, the audience can easily get confused and annoyed with her sudden smile after her heavy footsteps and deep distorted voice. On the other hand, Zellweger had to undergone a massive character personality change throughout the film, from one point of the movie, she is a stern social worker, to a caring and kind mother, and then to a terrified and mentally disturbed victim, and finally to a ‘Tomb Raider – Angelina Jolie’ character defying the monstrosity. The only intelligent bit is Jodelle’s character, named after the Lilith demon known throughout many mythologies.

In a nutshell, the film isn’t much of a disappointment as I didn’t have high expectations from the start. If I had to rate the movie, I’d give it a 2 out of 5. Reason being of poor execution of concept and overly-used plot (child horror) resulting in a very predictable plot. I wouldn’t pay much money to go watch it, but if you do enjoy cheap thrills and scare tactics (and aren’t afraid of wasps), then this film might satisfy some of your ‘not-so-funny’ bones. A better recommendation of psychological thriller/horror would be ‘The Orphan’, ‘The Orphanage’, ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’, or ‘The Devil’s Advocate’.

Case 39 will be released in Malaysia on 14th January.

Is it legit?

Kravitz confirmed that the one-and-a-half minute song snippet from "Another Day" is from an unreleased and unfinished track featuring himself and Michael Jackson.

He also reportedly told Spinner magazine after Jackson's death that he had been working with the late singer, and it was "the most amazing experience I've had in the studio."

What a tremendous year 2009 has been. We've attended so many events, covered so many movies and gigs, and had tons of fun doing it.

The fact that I.Are.Talk has been a little over a year old is overwhelming. Our effort along with our reader's support has made us come a long way.

L&S: Congrats! How does it feel to be parents?
Kourtney: It feels amazing. It's just so indescribable. You don't get how good being a parent feels until it happens to you.
Scott: My first time holding him was definitely special. But holding him the second time was even more special, and the third time was even more special than that. I fall so much more in love with this kid every day. I can't imagine how much more in love with him I'm going to be by the time he's 5 or 10 or 20!

L&S: How was the labor itself?
Kourtney: It was surprisingly easy and just an incredible experience. I always thought your first is supposed to be really hard, but it was easy. I have an amazing doctor. He actually delivered me! The room environment was just so relaxing, and everyone I wanted to be there was there--Scott, my mom, Kim and Khloé. No one under 18 is allowed in, so my little sisters Kendall and Kylie couldn't come in. Actually, you're only allowed to have two people in the room because of the swine flu -- so we snuck Kim and Khloé in!

L&S: What is your daily routine like now?
Kourtney: We're on Mason's schedule, waking up every couple of hours to breast-feed. But it's fun to get up and see him. I miss him by the time I see him again.

L&S: Can you see having another baby in the future?
Kourtney: Right now I'm obsessed with Mason and want to give him all my time. But being with him has definitely made me think about having another one! Kim and I are 18 months apart. Growing up, we did everything together. It would be nice for Mason to have a little brother or sister that many months apart too.

Sad Sad: James Sullivan of Avenged Sevenfold Found Dead!

Shocking! James Sullivan, the drummer of Avenged Sevenfold was found dead at his home on Monday morning. He was 28.

The cause of death has not been specified yet, but word is that James (a.k.a The Rev) apparently died of natural causes.

We will keep you posted.

Meanwhile, an official announcement of James' death was made on their official website.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. Jimmy was not only one of the world's best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.

Jimmy you are forever in our hearts.

Cirque Du Freak: Vampire's Assistant [REVIEW]

Darren Shan (CHRIS MASSOGLIA of The Hole), had his life changed when he stumbled upon a traveling Freak Show that was visiting town. Unlike his best friend, Steve (JOSH HUTCHERSON of Journey to the Center of the Earth) who is full of mischief, Darren is just an ordinary high school boy with decent grades, a good family and usually kept out of trouble. Until he was turned into a vampire, that is.

Unknowingly, Darren’s transformation into a creature of the undead has broken a truce between two clans, the vampires and the vampanezes, causing a catastrophic war to brew. Unable to continue life as a normal suburban teenager, Darren must “die” and join the Cirque Du Freak with his vampire mentor, Larten Crepsley (Oscar®-nominated actor JOHN C. REILLY of Chicago, Step Brothers).

Being a huge fan of the Darren Shan Saga (it’s 12 books, fyi) I was horrified to find the chilling, terrifying, gory book series was turned into a semi-comedic, cliché movie. What a waste of potential!

The CG wasn’t as smooth as it could be, the score was a little bit corny and Chris Massoglia’s interpretation of Darren was… zzzzzz, a yawn. Hello young man, what’s up with that unemotional face? Your life is ruined! You should be in despair! Sheesh.

The highlight of the movie, I’d have to say, was Ken Watanabe who played a hilarious Mr. Tall, and seeing Salma Hayek, who played Madam Truska, growing a beard. Sexy lady with a beard? Awesomeness.

All in all, I suppose this movie was made for children. Although the book series has fans of all ages, and could be a kick-ass bloody movie, but alas, even with a promising cast such as Willem Dafoe (who played the Green Goblin in SpiderMan!), Jane Krakowski (30 Rock), Ken Watanabe (Memoirs of a Geisha), Salma Hayek (do I need to mention?) and John C. Reilly (Step Brothers) plus an Academy Award nominated Director like Paul Weitz, the movie was still a disappointment.

A fail, ladies and gentlemen.

Lets just hope the sequel will be much better. If they’ll make another one.

The Body Rampant is the alias for multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter J.M. Lopez--formerly of progressive rock bands Every Bridge Burned and Halfathome. Music drove J.M. from a very young age.

Sad Sad: Brittany Murphy Dies at 32.

Reports are that actress, Brittany Murphy died of cardiac arrest. She was 32.

At 8AM in LA, a 911 call was made from her home by husband, Simon Monjack. Brittany went into full cardiac-arrest and could not be revived. She was pronounced dead on arrival at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Some of Brittany Murphy's most successful films include Clueless, Girl, Interrupted and and Sin City.

RIP Brittany.

Sad Sad: Roy E. Disney Dies at 79.

Disney studios have come a long way, and it's sad to see that another superior Disney leave.

Roy E. Disney died yesterday of stomach cancer which he has been battling for quite some time. He was 79.

Roy was the nephew of Walt Disney and was a long time Senior Executive producer of The Walt Disney Company.

A movie on the world's most famous (fictional) detective?
With action-packed scenes?

Bet Sir Arthur Conan Doyle hadn't expected any of these at all!

With ~~Tony Stark~~ Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson respectively, expect some violence and explosions. The two actors brought the characters to life. Set in the Industrial Revolution, Sherlock is eccentric (his idea of shooting practice involves shooting "VR", into the wall of his home) and meticulous to the core, Dr. Watson is an uptight, no-nonsense man who has no idea why he still goes along with Sherlock on his adventures. Nonetheless, the two are a formidable team.

In this film, the duo are out after Lord Blackwood, a serial killer who apparently has risen from the dead. And now he wants revenge (and America back). Then the world.

Rachel McAdams play Irene Adler, the love(?) of Sherlock Holmes. She helps him on this case, but she has her own motives. Who is she working for?

This film may remind you of Dan Brown's book whose plots were always about the balance of science and the "other" field. It's safe to say that it's totally different (you just have to stay through to the end).

The actors did wonderfully in this film, but the plot leaves a lot of be desired.
Let's hope the sequel is better than this one.
(Yes, we think there will be a sequel)

His early days of exploring music.
“I thought art would be my life. It was either that or selling drugs. I always had an aversion to being part of some corporate structure or working in a clearly defined job. I like to explore different things.”

His really early days (childhood).
“I was born a poor white-trash boy… We were vagabonds, and I had a peripatetic childhood; our mother brought us on her journey of escape from the oppressive nature of the South… It’s been a journey of dreams, but it's also been heartbreaking and challenging.”

Why the new record is called This Is War
“We went to war and fought for what we believed in, and we refused to give in or give up until they addressed our concerns. One day, they finally addressed our concerns and we were able to make peace and move forward. But it was a long and sometimes vicious, brutal, and bloody battle. It occupied every waking moment, and I carried a lot of it. I tried my best to shield Shannon and Tomo from it so we could all focus on the creative aspects of making this record on our own. We are very, very glad we took on that fight. We never doubted it was the right decision, but we didn’t know how it would end up…. But we’re stronger as a result of it, and it will always be a part of our story.”

Food obsessions - everybody has them.
“You know how sometimes you can’t stop eating hot sauce? I’m in one of those phases now.”

Born in Devon, England, the ginger-haired Cole was only 14 when she was scouted outside a burger bar in London’s Soho. Signed by Storm, she appeared in a career-defining Steven Meisel shoot for Italian Vogue in 2003 (since then, she’s appeared on numerous Vogue covers internationally). She’s walked for Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, and DKNY and is such a well-known face in her homeland that high-street chain Marks & Spencer did not drop the star despite calls to do so after she appeared on the cover of French Playboy.

She can be seen in the upcoming "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus", and around Cambridge. She is currently studying art history.

On Cambridge:

"I’m in the second year. I found last year really weird. It was hard to settle in. I was a bit shell-shocked. But I think everyone finds that. This year is much nicer, and the courses are a lot harder."

On modeling:

"It’s a very funny job. I think in some ways people kind of hate it, but most models recognize that it’s a pretty easy job to make a lot of money at in a relatively short time, and you get to travel the world and meet a lot of interesting people. There are extreme highs and extreme lows. I think if it were as clear-cut as “models hate it,” then they wouldn’t do it. I really enjoyed a lot of the actual aspects of it, but not enough to make it my primary job. It can be quite empty, which is why I pursued other things."

On the main difference between modeling and acting:

"I look at myself differently. I think in magazines I don’t have very much control. If a picture of me is great, then great. If it’s not so good, it’s not my fault. I have less control in that situation. That is one of the things that I like about acting: I do have a lot more control over what I’m doing and more responsibility."

On acting with Heath Ledger:

"It’s really nice to see the film and to see Heath again on-screen—to see him as I knew him. It’s nice to be able to acknowledge how wonderful he was and what a generous contribution he made to film and see what a loss it was. But it is certainly very weird and horrible to talk about his death over and over again. Actually, the last time I came to this bar (where this interview was held) was with Heath."

'Nowhere Boy' Clip: Guitar Lessons from McCartney to Lennon.

'Nowhere Boy' is a biopic of John Lennon directed by Sam Taylor-Wood. The film first premiered at the London Premiered Festival where and was taken by storm.

In this clip, Paul McCartney is seen giving John Lennon a lesson in guitar. Honestly, actor Aaron Johnson (who portrays Lennon in the movie) isn't half-bad in singing. Although they may not look like our favourite band, we hope that the movie will do justice to The Beatles. (:

Ahsley Greene's Double is MAN! (WTF?)

Who would have thought that the beautiful Ashley Greene's stunt double is a man? And it wasn't because the double was transgender either.

Apparently they couldn't find a female stunt double for Ashely when New Moon was being filmed in Italy.

In the movie, Ashley's character, Alice was required to drive in a Porsche car and the film crew felt uptight about putting her behind the wheels. In the end, they were forced to hire a man as her stunt double; and all they did to cover it up was to put him in a wig!

"It was a man! I'm not kidding! I guess there's not really stuntwomen in this part of Italy."

She may have had a stunt double, but Ashley didn't miss out in driving the expensive car.

"They taught me (how to drive the Porsche)... but they would not tell me if they were gonna let me drive the car right until the last minute.

"I don't even know if they used my stunt double, but and they actually told me I drove faster than a stuntman. And I didn't break anything!"

Take note on how Ris Low gave her two cents worth guide to not only in using the words "Shingz" and "Boomz", crappy hooker fashion style but also the ever “efficient” way of upsizing your breast from A cups to C cups. I was in Singapore when I grabbed the latest FHM Singapore edition which features Ris Low. Take a look at what stunned me.

Admit it guys, this photo of Ris Low is simply too good to be true and her assets shingz. I found it hard not to give it a double Boomz after careful “inspection” of the picture. Apparently, Ris Low’s technique had done hell of a good job in upgrading her assets and thus making Fiona Xie’s 32C looks ordinary.

Let’s list down the several possible reasons of why Ris Low’s assets went from Shingz to Boomz.
1. Boob job
Flying over to Thailand to get it done? Looking at the ever expanding fame of Ris Low, this should properly be affordable for this ex-Miss Singapore. Either she got it done using the money earned from ads or interviews or she got some sponsors ready to cash out on this newfound beauty. Seeing that Ris Low is being sponsored to upgrade her Shingyz English to Boomzier English, it came to no surprise if anyone is willing to sponsor her to do so.
2. Chest out technique

3. Adobe Photoshop
The ever friendly and handy software is well known for enhancing the sex appeal of many celebrities including Keira Knightley.

After careful consideration, I've decided that the most likely option is number 3 since FHM is no short of graphic design talent in the company. The option 1 is most unlikely seeing how confident Ris Low is in flaunting her A cups in bikinis and bras publicly.

The chest out technique is a bit tad overrated as I can’t even bring out my flat male chest to an ample A cup.

We do have to agree that they did hell of a good job since it’s the cleavage that caught my attention to the magazine rather the face and the name Ris Low. I honestly admit that I didn’t even know that was Ris Low after skimming through the magazine for several minutes. Let’s just say Ris Low’s spotlight has gone a little bit bigger.

According to German research published in New England Journal of Medicine, men staring at women's breasts in fact prolong their lives with years.

Gerontologist Dr. Karen Weatherby concluded,

"Just 10 minutes of looking at the charms of a well-endowed females is equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out."

The team led by Weatherby was made up of researchers at three hospitals in Frankfurt, Germany, and found this results after monitoring for 5 years the health of 200 male subjects, half of whom were asked to look at busty females daily, while the other half had to abstain from doing so.

For five years, the breasts oglers presented a lower blood pressure, slower resting pulse rates and decreased risk of coronary artery disease.

All the hype surrounding the "Twilight" vampire romance sequel is scoring big at the box office, with industry reports estimating Saturday it took in the largest opening-day receipts on record.

So exactly how much did they manage to collect? Click on for the numbers!

Summit Entertainment's "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," which opened at 12:01 am on Friday raked in 72.7 million dollars on its first day, outpacing Batman sequel "The Dark Knight" and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," according to estimates by the Hollywood.com industry website.

"The Dark Knight" brought in 67.2 million dollars on its first day in 2008, while "Transformers" snatched 62 million on its opening day earlier this year.

Female-targeted "New Moon" already took in 26.3 million dollars for its midnight showing alone, beating best marks set by "The Dark Knight" -- 18.4 million on July 18, 2008 -- and the sixth Harry Potter film, "Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince," which earned 22.2 million earlier this year.

Hollywood.com predicted the vampire flick was set to join only a dozen other films to have sold 100 million dollars worth of tickets in a single weekend.

If "New Moon's" stellar opening carries over to Saturday and Sunday, the film could rewrite the record books further, threatening the opening weekend record of "The Dark Knight," which took 158.3 million last year.

"Her name 'IKA' means 'a thousand islands united as one'. Her designs allow others to get a glimpse of the rich Indonesian culture and beyond.

Indonesia-born, Hong Kong based fashion designer Ika, treats designing as a serious issue. "For me fashion design is not persay a career but a way to express myself day to day". She said, "because Indonesians are so culturally gifted, my colour sense has been enriched. My roots also contribute to my major strength in embroidery, which I use a lot in my collections." She realized very early in her career that there is no alternative to hard work, while design is subjective to the viewer. Having reconciled to this, she discovered that there are successive layers of inspiration in creating a collection, thinking of herself as a spectator in the imaginary world. "I firmly believe that I draw inspirations from my travels and my interactions with people from different lands that help me to develop the basic ingredients of my creations sprinkled with constant research of fabrics, continual experimentations with new embroideries and staying abreast of new technologies."

Playful models, playful shapes and colors. Very very vibrant, but still warm to the eyes. Who would've thought the sunny weather could be such an inspiration?

Another one off M-IFW '09!

Jo Myung Rye's a native Korean designer. It is no doubt that we'd see extensive cultural references in this collection.

So peachy!

However, Myung Rye dissapoints due to the imbalance between the pieces in form of simplicity. Some of them were very elaborated and springy, some are too flat.

One problem Jo Myung Rye presented in this collection is that it's all too paper-thin. Reminds of those exploding party favors that you get from Walmart. Too fragile.

We liked the earthy tones in her collection, especially the touch of lush red in this one. Classic, and wearable.
